Boat Donation

Austin Waterway Guardians accepts donated boats and water based equipment to support on-the-water cleanup and restoration work across Lake Austin and Lady Bird Lake. Donated vessels are used directly for debris removal, invasive species management, habitat restoration, and volunteer operations.

How Donated Boats Are Used

• Waterway trash and debris removal

• Invasive species control and monitoring

• Shoreline and habitat restoration

• Support for supervised volunteer operations

All donated vessels are operated responsibly and used exclusively for mission-related activities.

Tax and Acknowledgment Information

Austin Waterway Guardians is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Boat donations may be tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines. Donors receive formal written acknowledgment for their records. We do not assign a value to donated property.

What We’re Looking For

We are interested in boats that are safe, operable, or reasonably repairable for work use. Examples include small work boats, skiffs, pontoons, and similar vessels appropriate for lake and shoreline operations.
